~Rain and Art Festivals~

Here's a short little look into the beautiful Arizona weather. Last weekend it rained on my way home and I snapped a quick shot. It was beautiful to see a rainbow the next day right after it rained.

This rainbow came out right after I parked my car at my friend Melissa's. I had to snap a picture :)

Such pretty flowers at the art festival. I took this picture of an iris for mom since she loves irises.

Here comes treble!

This weekend I went to an art festival and my favorite thing was seeing a sunflower growing right in the middle of downtown Phoenix!

While the movie might have been a tad bit trippy, Alice in Wonderland was in 3D, so these hip glasses needed a picture. From left to right, Megan, Melissa, and Leah. Good times had by all!

Playing the piano with Mr. Everybody

I was so proud of this student. We hadn't played this piece of music since probably before Christmas and she remembered it. :)

Mr. Everybody Comes to Visit

Here's Mr. Everybody in my classroom! He wrote a book about the notes of the treble clef, in kid friendly language. Crazy Cat is the note C, Dumb Dog is the note D, (I call it dorky dog), Mr. Everybody is E and so on. The kids were so excited to see him in real life that they thought he was quite the celebrity! Enjoy the pictures. :)

New haircut :)

Hi All,

Thought you'd like to see what my hair looks like now that I cut it shorter. Well I didn't cut it shorter. The lady at "Great Clips" did. I thought I'd curl it last night and think it turned out kind of fun!

Here's what my students did today during choir. This was their idea and they got stronger I think as the piece progressed. Enjoy!

This is the way we wash our recorders!

So today I thought it would be smart to sanitize the recorders that haven't been used in a number of years. Thus came out the following set of pictures :) Enjoy! I hope my 3rd and 4th grade students realize how fortunate they are! Ha ha!

We'll put this on pots and pans.
